In May 2012, PIJAC Canada will be proudly hosting the Canadian Pavilion at Interzoo in Nuremberg, Germany. Interzoo is the world’s most important meeting place for the international pet industry. The event set a new record in 2010 with more than 38,000 trade visitors from 115 countries and was a complete success for the approximate 1,500 exhibitors – 96% of them made new business contacts during the show. We have therefore reserved 270 square meters for the show in 2012 in order to house 11 Canadian companies.

HH BACKER - CHRISTMAS SHOW - CHICAGO, IL, USA

PIJAC Canada hosted its third Canadian Pavilion at the 45th HH Backer - Christmas Show 2011 held in Chicago, IL, USA. We again reserved 6 booths on the second level. Each of the companies that exhibited in 2010 were very pleased with the business that was generated from the show and decided to participate in the Canadian Pavilion again this year.

This year's show seemed as though it had fewer attendee's than last year. However, we managed to re-connect with a potentially large nation-wide customer that contemplated our product. Now we are steps closer to landing a potential very large chunk of business.

This year’s trade show was evident of a down economy. There was a lot less traffic than in previous years but we did launch some new products to show clients and as a result signed several new accounts and reinforced relationships with our current accounts by presenting the new products.

I was glad I went to the Backer show because it helped me to continually introduce Super Dog Treats to the U.S. I felt the show was not nearly as well attended as last year’s show. But I did get some good leads and things look very promising.
ZOOMARK - BOLOGNA, ITALY
May 12 - 15, 2011
PIJAC Canada has hosted for the second time a Canadian Pavilion at Zoomark 2011 held in Bologna, Italy, May 12 - 15, 2011. Zoomark International is the second chance of growth for the international sector (after Interzoo in Germany). This show is an excellent platform to meet, exchange and compare. It offers a complete overview of the best animal care products available on the market and highlights the novelties. PIJAC Canada reserved 66 square meters to accommodate 7 Canadian pet manufacturers in the canadian pavilion. With over 21,460 visitors, figures assess an increase in foreign visitors from over 70 countries in the world with a growth of 15%. Overall the show was a complete success.
