In an effort to enhance the delivery of the existing Certified Companion Animal Specialist Program, PIJAC Canada has altered the format to ensure unlimited accessibility to the program for all Canadian pet industry businesses. The Canine, Feline, Reptile, Avian and Small Mammal Certification Specialties are five of six distance education programs to be offered by the association. These courses are available online (on the PIJAC Canada website) or on CD in both French and English.

The Certified Companion Animal Specialist Program was developed by veterinarians and pet industry experts to train people who work with pets on a regular basis in the field of proper animal husbandry. Each program is comprised of a set of modules along with an exam. Participants who successfully complete the exam will earn a Certified Canine, Feline, Reptile, Avian pr Small Mammal Specialist Designation through PIJAC Canada.

You already completed the small mammal seminar module?

You will have a 6 month window, starting May 15, 2013, in which to finish your small mammal certification by completing the homestudy module which will be available to you at the current homestudy cost.

You already completed the small mammal homestudy module?

You will be offered the Small Mammal Distance Education Program at the current seminar cost, but will have to complete the distance education program exam.
