segments of the pet industry in Canada. The objectives of PIJAC Canada include
the promotion of the humane treatment of animals, the establishment of
appropriate and generally acceptable standards of animal care within the pet
industry as well as the promotion, recognition and observance of such standards.
In carrying out its mandate, PIJAC Canada is committed to full compliance with
all applicable laws of Canada. In particular, PIJAC Canada is committed to the

The purpose of this document is to clarify what constitutes
"personal information" as well as PIJAC Canada's policy relating to the
collection, use and disclosure of information and to the individual's right to
limit such collection, use or disclosure.

identifies an individual, such as his/her name, home address, home telephone
number/email, etc., or that is directly associated with a specific person, such

PIJAC Canada may also use non-personal information to meet
